William C. Allen

In January 2006, Bill Allen joined the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corp. as its president and chief executive officer. Since 2000, Mr. Allen has been the president of Meadowlane Enterprises Inc., licensor of a library of classic television series, and Meadowlane Music Inc., publisher of a popular music catalog. Active in regional economic development for the past decade, Mr. Allen was the first chief executive officer of the Economic Alliance of the San Fernando Valley from 1997 to 2000.

Mr. Allen is currently vice chair of the Economic Alliance and a member of the board of directors of Health Dynamics Inc., the Rossier School of Education at USC and the Valley Presbyterian Hospital. He has served as a trustee of the University of Southern California, chair of the Creative Arts Emmy Awards for the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and co-chair of the National Council for Families and Television. He has also served on the Business Advisory Commission to the former speaker of the California Assembly, Robert Hertzberg, and the Alumni President’s Council advisory group to USC President Steven B. Sample.

Mr. Allen is also a veteran television network and studio executive with more than 20 years of experience in entertainment production and management. From 1992 through 1995, Mr. Allen was president of MTM Television.
